Chinemelum and Chuba Ezekwesili are interdisciplinary artists, designers, philosophers, and environmentalists - among other things.

They are the founders of Akanka, an African-Futurist design and innovation studio co-creating an ecosystem of innovative solutions to societal challenges with Nature.

Through Akanka, they have co-created ventures such as Future Africa, the School of Politics, Policy & Governance (SPPG), Ekondo, Sanctuaries of Nature, the Framework of Intention, and Greener Cities.

They have also worked with leading brands and institutions, including Google, the World Economic Forum, Duke University, Yale University, GIZ, and Human Capital Africa (HCA).

Chinemelum holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Boston University, while Chuba holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College (CMC) and a Master’s Degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University.
